Universal Grounding Kit - Coaxial Cable Shields

The Coaxial Cable Shield Universal Ground Kit is designed to accommodate a wide range of transmission line sizes, thus reducing the amount of inventory required, as well as, eliminating costs associated with improperly identified transmission line sizes.

    • 2 1/4” Foam and air (EW 43, EW 63, WE 65, WE 46)
    • 3” Air (EW 28, EW 34, EW 37, WE 37)

The copper strap and associated hardware facilitates a proper attachment to the coaxial cable shield. A five foot #6 AWG bonding jumper is provided with a special factory attached ground connector, which will accommodate 3/4 to 1 inch spaced holes on a ground bar. Installation of ground kits are recommended at the top and bottom of each vertical run, at 150-foot increments on taller towers, at the external entry port, or at the internal entry port if grounded surge protection devices (SPDs) are not used.

To properly size the ground select the correct transmission line size from the chart, and remove the excess material above the corresponding letter (at scribed line). The Coaxial Cable Shield Universal Ground Kit is designed to comply with MIL-STD-188-124A.
